Thanks
a lot - I remember times when my artbook collection was called 'weird' at best
(no wonder though, my first few artbooks were Yoshitaka Amano's collections ).
I just wanted to thank you for the comment and favourite on my scan, thank you
for your submissions (Miggy and X, mniam )
and also argue about creativity.
What I mean is, you said you feel rather not creative lately since you only
vector scans and change colours. I once argued here in MT whether vectoring is
an art considering the same points. I was strongly for the idea and I gave
Warhol as an example. With his Marylin Moroe portraits he basically did the same
and nobody disputes the artistic values of his work, right? To me vectoring is
an alternative view of an existing piece of art and therefore an art itself.
I hope this was not too confusing as I feel rather sleepy now.
Btw, Cowboy Bebop soundtrack rocks. My favourite = Piano Black and Tank, of
course.
Quote by flyindreamsI'm definitely
starting to swing back into the shoujo genre because of Nodame Cantabile. HYD I
only read bits and pieces, despite it being a classic... I did like what I read
though Hana Kimi I watched a few of the early Taiwanese live action
episodes. Seemed like a fun show, but I wasn't a tremendous fan. Then again I'm
generally not a live action person... yeah
Neither am I. On general I watch really little anime and
a few live-action series, I prefer feature films, though I think I am familiar
with the classics, e.g. Akira, GitS, Cowboy Bebop and Interstella 5555.
Btw, I always forget to thank you for your feature gallery, it kinda helps me to
keep up-to-date after a longer break from MT...
Thanks a lot for pointing both wallpapers to me - I haven't been here for a
while, so I have a lot to catch up with. Though with Dragonrain I was already
familiar - I steal wallpapers from there from time to time. I think the site is
connected with a member here, right?
Anyway here is a little something for you: http://www.snapdrive.net/files/471561/SIUDMAK.rar
Be careful! It's very raw... But I know you like it this way .
Quote by k1ru if you dont have any AP
account, you can wait >x] i think i'm going to upload it on my site xDD;;
i'll tell you when i have put it there
Thank you, I would
highly appreciate that as I have no AP account (lack of time, all the time ). And
since I'm a fan of your work since 'Galaxy Woman', I'll add you to my
watchlist.
Quote by RegenbogenHmm.. well whenever
I try to make wallpapers the ideas are just kind of dropping into my mind. I
never know from the start what it will look like... During the progress I hear
and see things that influence it...
That's called creativity, you know .
And good luck with your diploma! [Just in case we don't get to talk to each
other before that.]
Quote by DREAMi joined an "art
noveau" group you may enjoy: http://art-nouveau.minitokyo.net/
so what are you up to? i suppose summer vacation is starting soon.
It's still a long way to go for my summer break - the exam
session is about to begin and I'm soooooo busy...
I need to look at the group closer, but right now I'm head over heels in love
with the art deco period and Tamara de Lempicka
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lempicka). I have recently re-discovered her after
one of the discussion sessions at university where we discussed feminism in
music videos. We included Madonna, of course, and her Vogue music video, where,
at the very beginning, there are a few canvas with Lempicka's paintings. I
remembered from one of the interviews with Madonna that she bought a few of
Lempicka's paintings and I took an interest in the painter.
Currently, I'm reading one of a few books I found about her, and I'm
appreciating the art.
Btw, we also mentioned Madonna's Express Yourself and that led to Fritz Lang's
Metropolis and anime with the same title... Believe me, it was a very
interesting discussion that tended to stray in different directions .
Quote by DREAMdoes your art-book contain
any other Noriko Meguro artwork? as far as i know she only has some pieces in
"Digital Comickers".

Sorry, I've looked in both artbooks I have, but no more
Noriko Meguro artwork. There's a lot of other great artists, though, so if you'd
like to, I could send you the book over to the States. I guess I still feel
indebted to you for the Yoshitaka Amano artbook...
Take care,
Joanna.
The art is great, so the fav was well-deserved.
For the future, please don't post these generic 'thank you' cards in my
guestbook as they're very impersonal, O.K.?
